What does it do?
The Senior People's Forum of Warwick District aims to make the
voice of older people heard and to build a society which values
older people and enables them to remain active, mentally and physically,
by:
- Providing a venue for older people to discuss their views and
concerns.
- Challenging discrimination.
- Developing partnerships with other organisations.
- Informing people about social services, transport, health and
carers' issues.
- Raising awareness of Senior People's Forum's achievements and
objectives by holding informal meetings throughout Warwick District.
- Liaising with other groups throughout the country to lobby
politicians to bring about change.
How was it set up?
The Senior People's Forum was set up as part of the Better Government
for Older People initiative with support from Warwick District Council
