What are the steering groups?

The steering groups are responsible for developing policies and proposals in relation to their area of activity – co-ordinated by the partnership board. The groups are also responsible for ensuring appropriate consultation and community involvement in their work. The Steering Groups comprise the ‘doers’ – representatives of agencies with a particular interest in and/or responsibility for the LSP themes and others from within the community with a role to play in relation to those themes.

Steering Groups are proposed in relation to the themes set out below. Most of the groups have evolved from existing
partnerships.

• Community Safety (Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership)
• Education and Lifelong Learning (Warwick District Community Learning Partnership)
• Housing (WDC Housing Strategy Group)
• Business and Economy (South Warwickshire Business Partnership)
• Environment (new group)
• Culture (Cultural Strategy Group)

• Older people (Senior People's Forum of Warwick District)
• Voluntary and Community Sector Forum
